‘It’s been a nightmare’ for Marci’s new look
Posted February 04, 2018 09:06:08The beauty queen has spent months trying on various styles and looking for the perfect fit.
But Marci is not the only contestant on the hit show Beauty And The Geek to struggle with her look.
“It’s definitely been a difficult time for me,” Marci told Vogue Australia.
“I’m always a bit on the nervous side, so it’s been hard to get to the point where I can be confident enough to wear it.”
But it’s actually been an absolute blessing in disguise, because it makes me feel confident and in control.
“As a winner, it gives you an incredible platform to showcase yourself to the world.”

It’s just so liberating.””
I’ve got a really supportive family, so if I’m not doing well, they’re always there to support me.
“And it’s a way of showing support for me that I’m so grateful for.”
Sometimes I feel like I’m always in a panic, so I think about my family and how much they’re going through.
“So if I have to be scared, I know they’ll be there for me.”
Marci’s family have been supportive of her transition.
“My mum has been great, so they’ve been really supportive,” she said.
“There’s no way I could have found this out without them.”
Marcy, the eldest of five siblings, has been an aspiring model since she was four, but the family’s home was destroyed in the 2011 Sydney Harbour Towers tragedy.
Her mum, Joanne, and her father, Peter, have since returned to Australia and have been working in a modelling agency.
